This is one of the many fountains at the Emmarentia Botanical Gardens. It is a fantastic place to go walking, with rose and herb gardens, bicycle trails and dams. I quite like the way the angle of the shot shortens the top end of the pond to make it look like a cross.

This incredible flower is from the plant family “Bird of Paradise”. I am pretty sure that the name comes from its resemblance to the remarkable flying creatures.
